The Many Colored Death

The Many Colored Death ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŒˆ

Grograman is definitely one of my favourite characters from The Neverending Story . It would be so awesome to see him portrayed accurately in a movie.

For those who donโ€™t know the story, Grograman is a color-shifting giant lion and the only inhabitant of the Goab desert. His skin changes from one color to another depending on the floor he is standing on.

In my designs, I have tried to depict how his skin could show that transition between colors while he walks, and I imagined patterns on the fur, like those of tigers, panthers or other big cats, that would help make it more interesting.

The red design is the most accurate according to the book description. The blue one is a bit more creative (big tusks, a scar on the face always helps build personality), and the third one shows how Grog would look standing on white marble.

Hope you like it!

Big tusks and scar on the face always look more menacing! The patterns on Grograman's skin are inspired on those of tigers, I believe it makes the transition between colors more interesting.
