Atreyu

First look at Atreyu, the young green-skinned warrior from the Grassy Plain, played by Noah Hathaway in the 1984 movie.
I wanted my interpretation of Atreyu to be close to the book, but also I was trying not to lose the humanity that the character has, so I tried diferent designs regarding the green skin issue. In the first one, he has a very human skin tone, but covers part of his body in green and white tribal body paint.

I believe the second is my favourite. The green tone is due to natural skin pigments, but on top of that there is a second layer of darker green (tattooed tribal signs?) combined with white lines and basic shapes.

The last one is Atreyu in his war outfit during the Battle of the Ivory Tower. I wanted to give him a fierce and menacing look: he is not a child anymore, but a warrior from the Grassy Plain, and he wears the traditional clothing that the Green-Skinned people use for war.
